Delicious smell of the Vietnamese cuisine was going around the University library of the Technical University in Košice (TUKE) on Wednesday, 28 November 2018. We have decided to introduce the exotic Asian country to the students in a non-traditional way. By tasting food and presentation of the working opportunities directly at FPT Software, in Vietnam.
“Vietnam is a growing country, whose gross domestic product grows by approximately 7 percent a year. It has a rich and beautiful nature, so a lot to offer. We are building a strong and global organization and thus looking for talented people also here in Košice.” said at the meeting with students of the Technical University in Košice Executive Vice President of FPT Software Tran Dang Hoa.
Vietnam and the company were presented to the interested students by the executive managing directors of the Slovak branch Mr. Tran Coi and Mr. Olaf Baumann. “We are trying to introduce the FPT life and bring even more people from west to Asia in order to create a real global team of talented people. Besides that, we plan to double our team in Košice within the next three years, where approximately 260 people work currently,” Olaf Baumann said.
Prior to the event, company representatives met with the university management. The result of this meeting of start of cooperation also with FPT University. Students from Košice will thus get the opportunity to study directly in Vietnam.
We tested the students’ attention directly at the event. We asked them few questions about FPT Software, which were related to the presentation they had just seen. For the right answer, two of them were awarded a weekly stay in Vietnam. They will fly at the cost of FPT.
