We are looking for the right candidate to fill the position of Line Manager for Project Management Office.

You will be responsible for managing team of Project Managers who are leading projects in various IT areas (software development, SAP, Cloud technology) from inception to closure in an international set up using various types of project development life cycles - predictive (waterfall), adaptive (mostly Scrum) or hybrid. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • managing, motivating and development of your team
  • collecting and analyzing project requirements and driving project scope
  • developing estimations and project budgets
  • decisions about the most suitable project management approach and methodology to be used on project and ability to combine these successfully on projects
  • development of schedules for projects with predictive (waterfall) life cycle and for projects with adaptive life cycles (creating and maintaining release plans)
  • negotiating with responsible management regarding human and other resources needed for project activities
  • risk management on projects
  • managing project scope, schedule and budgets with regards to project management approach and development life cycle selected
  • reporting about the project performance to both customer and internal management
  • occasionally taking part in pre-sales activities by contributing to successful opportunity response process. This may include coordination of team of subject matter experts when preparing opportunity responses and consolidation and creation of the needed documentation
  • close cooperation with other technology teams within the company and support presales processes and service delivery
  • cost-effectiveness of individual services, resource management, budget planning, regular reporting
  • expectations( "we" );

  • you have experience in leadership as a line manager, team leader or project manager
  • your working experience in general project management, preferably on IT projects will be an advantage
  • you have knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies
  • PMI certification (CAPM or PMP) are preferred but not mandatory; other project management certifications are welcome
  • your project experience with agile project management methodologies will be an advantage
  • you are able to apply common project management tools and techniques from both waterfall and agile worlds
  • you have experience with MS Project and JIRA are welcome
  • you have proven leadership and excellent communication skills
  • you are a strong decision maker and can handle work under pressure
  • you are customer and goal oriented and have strong negotiation skills
  • You speak English fluently, German will be an advantage
